This month has been busy for us here at Paige’s Tutoring! We have welcomed so many to our growing tutoring family and we are working together to support our mission. This month I want to highlight some of our new tutors and find out the answer to the most important question: “why did they choose to become a tutor?” I also asked what their favorite children’s movie is, since the season of family time is coming up quickly. Consider this inspiration for your next family movie night.
“Why did you choose to become a tutor?”
“My passion for education stemmed from my successes and struggles in school. Thanks to the teachers in my life, I knew I wanted to serve all students regardless of their setting. Now I am a graduate student, I took a break from classroom teaching to be a tutor. Tutoring allows me to help students grow quickly through individualized instruction. As a traveler, virtual tutoring gives me the flexibility to travel in my free time.” -Brenna B.
“I find nothing more enjoyable than sharing information and knowledge. I also find work where I can positively influence young students to be some of the most rewarding types of work I could do.” Taylor T.
“What is your favorite children’s movie?”
“Lassie: most families/kids enjoy dogs. It's a great movie to get kids talking (interacting)”- Marti C.
“I love Barbie, the movie. I love it’s message and musical numbers!!” - Madalyn P.
“Spy Kids (the originals) or Inspector Gadget.”- Taylor T.
“Finding Nemo - It is our family's favorite, and we watch it every year :) Not only is the movie great but our annual tradition of watching Finding Nemo is even better.” - Brenna B.
Honestly, Finding Nemo, Finding Dory, Frozen II and Turning Red have all become our family favorite right now and it's a classic at this point. What is a family favorite in your home? Comment below :)
